Privacy Notice

1. Scope

This notice explains how the operator of Family Office Architect (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through familyofficearchitect.com, related emails, and business-development communications. A signed engagement, secure client workspace, or service provider may be subject to additional notices and agreements. This notice does not apply to third-party sites or services.

2. Information we may collect

3. Sources

We may receive information directly from you or your representatives; automatically from your device and our hosting or security providers; or from lawful public, professional, referral, and business sources.

4. How we use information

We use information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site; respond to inquiries; schedule conversations; evaluate fit, capacity, and conflicts; develop and administer business relationships; protect people, property, rights, and systems; prevent fraud or misuse; maintain records; and comply with legal obligations. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it, without affecting prior processing.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site and its hosting infrastructure may use essential cookies, local storage, or similar technologies needed for delivery, security, load balancing, and preferences. We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell personal information. If we introduce analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this notice and provide choices where required. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not uniformly standardized; we honor legally required opt-out preference signals where applicable.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to hosting, email, security, IT, professional, and other service providers working under appropriate restrictions; to advisers and authorities where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce terms, protect rights or safety, or respond to legal process; in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards; or with your direction or consent. We do not disclose personal information for payment except in a business transfer.

7. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws. We also do not knowingly use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. If our practices change, we will update this notice and provide required opt-out methods.

8. Retention

We retain information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including relationship management, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and enforcement. Retention depends on the information, sensitivity, context, legal requirements, and whether deletion would impair a legitimate purpose. We then delete, de-identify, or securely isolate information as appropriate.

9. Security and transfers

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards proportionate to the information and our operations. No system or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in the United States and other places where providers operate, which may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use lawful transfer safeguards.

10. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live and subject to exceptions, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal information; object to or opt out of certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a denied request. You may also opt out of non-essential emails using the message instructions or by contacting us. We may verify identity and authority before acting. Authorized agents may submit requests where law permits. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

11. U.S. state disclosures

During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories described above—identifiers, professional information, internet or network activity, and correspondence—and disclosed them to service providers for the business purposes described in this notice. We have not knowingly sold or shared these categories for cross-context behavioral advertising. California and other state residents may have the rights described above if the relevant law applies to us. We do not offer financial incentives for personal information.

12. Children and external services

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Third-party links and services operate under their own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this notice as practices or law change and will post the revised date. To ask a privacy question or submit a request, email hello@familyofficearchitect.com. Please state your jurisdiction and request without including sensitive documentation; we will provide a secure method if verification is necessary.
